I was hired by the University of the Arts as faculty mentor for Nathan during the 2012-13 school year. During that time he worked with me as a graduate assistant in Ceramics 1 courses at KCAD, was a workshop assistant for one of my wood-fire workshops at Ox-bow School of Art, and taught ceramics classes through the Continuing Studies program at KCAD. We met regularly during that period to discuss his work and professional development.
Nathan held the position of Kiln Yard Technician at the International Ceramics Research Center in Guldageraard, Denmark, 2015-16 due, in part, to his experiences with me at KCAD and Ox-Bow.
